I had an AMAZING photoshoot today in springfield, va for an up and coming fashion blog called DMV'sgotstyle.com. It's def. tiring but it turned out wonderful. I can't wait to see the end results! So after spending the day with great and inspirational artists, I realized that I have come to a conclusion on how I want my life to pan out career wise:
- own my salon: art, makeup, hair
- teach cosmetology
- travel to abroad and style a photoshoot
- write a book about becoming a makeup artist
- start a makeup and hair magazine
so in the words of the great Pablo Picasso...
"anything that you can imagine, can be a reality..."
SO watch out world, here i come!

The Mane Fall Story
Makeup Testing
I was recently involved in doing a makeup test for a charity event coming up on September 10th. The charity is to benefit the Shining Star Academy:
About Shining Star Academy...
In the spring of 2010, Brooke Laura, founder and director of Shining Star Academy, launched Saprinu* after a trek through Nepal where she visited one of its most isolated and breathtakingly beautiful villages. She was shocked by the lack of education and overwhelmed by the enthusiasm and kindness of the children and villagers. Motivated by the children and parents, she decided to build an English boarding school. Using money from her savings and with help from family and friends, she was able to successfully open the Shining Star Academy.
Saprinu is dedicated to providing access to affordable, quality schools whose mission is to educate, equip, and inspire students to value truth, think critically, and live responsibly and fully.

She works alongside Kane on hot 99.5, and I had a pleasure working with her in getting her ready for this event. Here is the look we came up with and the makeup products where used are below:
